Dear Sisters and Brothers:
We resumed our monthly meetings after our summer break - the September meeting was a busy one!
First let's welcome Sister Alda Sorrentino and Brother Frank Sorrentino to our Lodge! Sister Alda joins two of her siblings who are also members, Sister Anna Vanlingen and Brother Tony Bona, while Brother Frank is the son of long time Lodge member, Brother Joe Sorrentino.
The Toll Road fundraiser held in June netted the Scholarship Fund $1,171.34. Many thanks to event chair Brother Ron Nickerson and to all those members who stood on the street in Lee that day and made this fundraiser such a success!
Sister Ellen discussed Lee Founders' Weekend. Our lodge will sell grinders, hot dogs, Italian cookies, water/soda and hold a 50/50 raffle from 11:00-2:00 on Saturday, September 19, 2015 in front of Kelly Funeral Home. Please come and support your Lodge!
IMPORTANT - OCTOBER MEETING TIME CHANGED to 6:00 p.m.! October is Italian Heritage Month, and in recognition of this important month we will hold a brief Lodge meeting on October 1 (no longer than 1/2 hour) followed by a potluck dinner. Please bring an Italian dish - a favorite one served by your family! We will have a singalong following the dinner with music graciously provided by Sister Mary Masiero. Come join the fun!
Our annual Christmas Dinner will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at a location to be determined. Sister Chrissy Bona has agreed to serve as Chair of this event. Please consider donating something for the raffle - maybe a gift basket or a bottle of wine! Let Sister Chrissy know if you are willing to help out in any way with this event. Bakeless Bake Sale begins October 1!
Many a time we have heard you say
I would rather give a dollar than bake today
So we are asking you to help more or less
To make our bakeless sale a big success.
Just send in the money that it would take
To bake a loaf of bread or a beautiful cake.
Or send in the amount it takes to buy a dozen rolls, or maybe a pie.
We'll thank you kindly for your donation to make this sale a big sensation.

The Trip Committee will meet Monday, October 5 @ 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary's. Come join us in the planning of a Lodge trip for April 2016!
